Lucy opened First Intuition Yorkshire for business in 2016 after 13 years as a Director and Tutor at BPP and the completion of her training contract and ICAEW exams with PwC. Her focus is on the strategic growth of the business across Yorkshire and Humber, building strong client relationships to ensure delivery of high quality programmes with excellent service. 

Gareth qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Leeds and started his career as a tutor later becoming Managing Director of First Intuition Cambridge. Gareth has taught many prizewinners over the years and was awarded UK Accountancy Lecturer of the Year in 2011.

Emma is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant and has over 15 years experience working in the professional education sector.

Her focus is on embedding a clear vision for the organisation, encouraging innovation to ensure we continually deliver a high quality service that meets the needs of clients, learners and colleagues.

Lucy has spent over 20 years working in the professional education sector,  gaining a wealth of experience in running efficient operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions that drive productivity and create effective safeguarding.

Chris is ACCA and CTA qualified and has worked in professional accountancy training for over 15 years and specialises in teaching tax. Prior to this Chris worked in practice for both a local firm and as an auditor for EY.

Kate has worked in the professional education sector for over five years gaining experience in employer engagement and apprenticeship programmes. She has a wealth of knowledge in business development across various accountancy and finance qualifications.

Olivia has worked in Professional Education for 7 years, working closely with all Accountancy and Tax qualifications. She has experience as an apprenticeship assessor, in apprenticeship recruitment, business development and client management. Olivia is passionate about creating opportunities for all and diversifying professional qualifications.

Natalie has worked in the professional education sector for the past 20 years; gaining various experience in teaching and in employer engagement and apprenticeship programmes. She has a vast range of knowledge when it comes to Apprenticeships and business development.

Mel worked in education for 12 years before joining the FI Team as a Skills & Development Coach. She now works as part of the Client Team to advise on Accountancy and Finance programmes and is passionate about developing excellent relationships with her clients in order to provide a high-quality experience.

Megan has recently completed her A Levels and is now undertaking a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration within the Business Development team. Megan’s role includes handling client queries, managing careers events and assisting with the client recruitment service.

Cass has worked in professional accountancy training for 10 years and is the accountancy programme manager which involves looking at the different accountancy programmes offered by First Intuition. Prior to joining the education sector, she qualified as a Chartered accountant with one of the big four accountancy firms, working within the audit department.

Gladwyn qualified with Arcadia Group Limited having studied ACCA at First Intuition. He gained a breadth of experience in the Retail Sector before joining First Intuition in April 2020. Gladwyn specialises in teaching Financial Reporting and Tax.

Tracy has been training Accountants for over 15 years. She specialises in AAT and can teach all levels and subjects in this Qualification. She has been nominated for an AAT Award of Tutor of the Year.

Megan is a qualified accountant (ACCA) and Chartered Tax Adviser and specialises in teaching Tax and Financial Reporting. Prior to joining First Intuition she worked at Deloitte for over nine years, starting in audit before joining the business tax team.

Emma is a qualified accountant (ACA) and a qualified teacher, who specialises in teaching Auditing and Financial Reporting. Prior to joining FI, Emma worked in the audit department of a top ten accountancy firm for over four years.

Manisha is ACCA qualified and prior to joining FI, worked in Financial Services in the Internal Audit department. She loves exams and people, making this role a perfect fit for her personality.

Malindu is a CFA Charterholder and a qualified accountant (ACCA) who has over five years of experience teaching financial reporting and financial management related subjects. Prior to joining First Intuition, he worked as an investment banker and in assurance services of one of the big four professional services firms.

Marie is CIMA qualified with over 20 year’s experience working in industry. Prior to starting at FI she worked in Credit Management for 10 years.

Giovanna has 10 years of experience working in the finance industry. Some of this time she spent working as an actuarial analyst for insurance brokers and more recently she re-trained as an accountant. Giovanna studied and completed her apprenticeship with First Intuition and is therefore well-versed in what it takes to get through the exams!

Sara has a degree in Chemical Engineering but chose to follow a career in accountancy, she has over 9 years experience in practice. Sara achieved her ACCA qualification with First Intuition and followed her passion to become a tutor. She specialises in teaching Audit and Financial Reporting.

Anna specialises in teaching Financial Reporting and Audit. Prior to joining First Intuition, Anna worked in practice for over four years, starting in audit before joining the financial reporting team. Anna studied and completed her apprenticeship with First Intuition.

Prior to joining FI , Kristine taught and co-ordinated Performing Arts courses within Further and Higher education for  over 10 years. Throughout that time, she have gained experience in leadership, training, and resource development. Kristine joined FI as a Skills & Development Coach before stepping into her role as Skills Tutor.

Catherine has worked in the professional education sector for the last 17 years within the Customer Services department and has recently changed her role to become our Apprenticeship & Compliance Accountant. She is responsible for ensuring that we adhere to all relevant financial and regulatory requirements as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and company policies.

Emma is a fully qualified CIMA accountant with over 10 years’ experience working in Finance, she has recently joined FI in the role of Finance Business Partner. Key responsibilities include preparing and presenting financial information to the relevant departments, managing the budget and re-forecasting and implementing robust financial controls.

Cameron completed the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration, gaining a distinction. She now manages the Operations Team, ensuring all our administration processes run effectively and efficiently. Cameron recently won a highly commended award for Mentor of the Year at the 2024 East Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards.

Jo has extensive experience in administration & customer service roles throughout various industries including the financial sector. She is responsible for the efficient running of in house procedures and ensuring safeguarding policies are implemented.

Honey has recently completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration. She is responsible for ensuring all our administration processes run effectively and efficiently and dealing with course bookings and student queries.

Millie has just completed her A Levels and is currently undertaking the Level 3  Apprenticeship in Business Administration. Her role includes ensuring all student operations and apprenticeship sign up processes run effectively. She also assists with our apprenticeship recruitment.

Hannah has worked in the professional education sector for over 4 years, supporting learners through their individual journeys. She has a range of knowledge and experience gained as part of a dedicated customer service team.

Originally from an education background, Louis started out at FI as a Skills and Development Coach. Louis works one a one-to-one basis with learners who require additional support and coordinates special educational needs provisions at FI. Louis is passionate about taking a person-centred approach to supporting learners, to ensure they have the best possible chance of succeeding on their apprenticeship journey.

Amber gained managerial and coaching experience during her time in the Service Industry, before joining FI as a Skills & Development Coach. Through her progression, she has developed a range of knowledge which is utilised within her managers role to support the Skills Coaches as well as the wider team. Amber is very people-orientated and is passionate about doing her best to support her team, clients, and learners.

Aimee worked in the service industry for over 6 years, where she has gained the knowledge and experience of coaching, training, and supporting individuals throughout their career.  Aimee is passionate about helping her learners and supporting them throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Florence is a qualified teacher who has worked in the education sector for 6 years. She started her career at FI within the apprenticeship team as a skills coach, supporting learners through their education journey. Florence then progressed to Quality Lead, where her role now focusses on monitoring and improving quality at FI and working closely with the coach and tutor teams. Florence is passionate about helping to ensure FI consistently provides an excellent service to their key stakeholders.

Abbey joined FI Yorkshire after gaining experience within the Customer Services Team at FI Manchester for 2 years. She joined the Apprenticeship Team as a coach becuase she is passionate about supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship journeys.

Lyndsey is a qualified teacher and worked in the education sector for over 10 years. She thrives in seeing her learners progress both professionally and personally. She is also passionate about ensuring the well-being of leaners and supporting them to succeed.

Alice is a qualified teacher and worked in education for over 8 years. She has also worked in the adult sector supporting and mentoring adults back into work. Alice is passionate about developing excellent relationships through clear communication with her learners. She is passionate about an individualised approach which supports her learners along their apprenticeship journey.

Anna is a qualified teacher who worked in education for 3 years. Through her teaching, Anna has developed skills in supporting learners, mentoring and providing a personalised learning experience. She enjoys getting to know her learners and assisting them to achieve their potential.

Vicky is a qualified teacher with 12 years of experience in the education sector, where she gained skills including mentoring and coaching. She is passionate about and enjoys helping and supporting learners to develop both professionally and personally. Vicky understands the importance of building strong relationships with learners and strives to do this through providing clear communication and being available and approachable.

Maria holds a degree in Business and has qualifications in AAT Accounting. She is a certified secondary school teacher with 3 years of experience in the education sector. Maria is incredibly passionate about engaging with her learners, getting to know them personally, and witnessing their progress and success throughout their apprenticeship journey.

Kathleen is a qualified teacher and previously taught French and Spanish in a secondary school for five years. Kathleen values developing excellent relationships with her learners and enjoys seeing them progress on their apprenticeship journey. She is also passionate about education and making sure that her learners have everything they need in order to be successful.

Lucia is a qualified teacher who has worked in education for 3 years. What she loves about being a coach is getting to know her learners through an individualised approach. She thrives in seeing her learners succeed in their apprenticeship journey as well as their personal lives.

Betty is a qualified teacher and worked in education for over 7 years. She is passionate about helping others and supporting learners to achieve their very best, in all aspects of their apprenticeship. Betty enjoys building strong relationships with learners and getting to know them on an individual basis. She loves to see her learners reflect on the progress they have made over time, both professionally and personally. 

Patrick is a former physics teacher who has transitioned into a career as a Skills and Development Coach. With a deep passion for education and personal growth, he leverages his analytical background and years of teaching experience to help individuals unlock their potential.

Claire is a qualified teacher with 3 years of experience in the education sector. She also championed education within the NHS for 3 years, providing training, resources and mentoring to colleagues. Claire enjoys connecting with learners and helping them reflect on their progress. She is enthusiastic about supporting their well-being to provide a holistic approach to success.

Star has over 6 years of experience in the service and financial sectors. She has developed her customer service skills over this time and after discovering a talent for creativity is now responsible for all marketing projects.

Rachael is a qualified NLP Practitioner and Coach and has wide experience gained within the legal profession and through the delivery of work based learning for a large training provider.

Bilal is currently undertaking his Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration within our Quality & Compliance team. His responsibilities include the efficient onboarding of apprentices, ensuring our compliance to the relevent funding agencies.

George has just completed his A Levels and is now undertaking the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration within our Quality & Compliance team. His role includes dealing with the successful onboarding and off boarding of apprentices.

Over the last 2 years, Evie has gained Customer Service experience and has completed her A Levels. Evie will now work as part of the Quality and Compliance team and will be undertaking the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.
