David has over 20 years’ experience in the accountancy sector having worked in both industry and education. Prior to setting up the Chelmsford First Intuition centre in 2011, David held the role of Managing Director at BPP. He is passionate about delivering high-quality accountancy training to Essex and is proud of the fantastic pass-rates we achieve.

Kelley has over 14 years’ experience in the accountancy training industry and is part of the management team that set up First Intuition Chelmsford in 2011. Her role as Director, enables Kelley to be involved in many aspects of the business from client management and running the centre to teaching. Kelley also heads up the Apprenticeship programme for Chelmsford. Kelley loves seeing the success of our students and apprentices in their studies, exams and subsequent careers. She’s also passionate about helping clients to find the right training solutions for their teams and businesses.

After completing a first class honours degree in Economics, Ellie joined Deloitte Audit where she trained and qualified as an ICAEW chartered accountant. At Deloitte, Ellie specialised in working with large corporate clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sector. Once qualified, Ellie transferred to Deloitte’s Economic Consulting Department. At First Intuition, Ellie teaches a range of courses but specialises in management accounting, financial management, economics and financial reporting.

Rebecca joined First Intuition with a huge range of industry experience, gained at Experian, Intel and RSM, where she worked in a variety of roles covering Corporate Accounting, Tax and Marketing Finance. At First Intuition, Rebecca specialises in Tax, alongside teaching Law modules and business strategy.

Emma joined us in 2015 and specialises in teaching Advanced Audit and Financial Accounting. Emma qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a mid-tier firm in London under the ICAS qualification, having gained a first-class honours degree in Economics at university. Prior to joining FI she worked in practice, specialising in public sector and pension scheme audits.

Clare is a highly-experienced Tutor, specialising in Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Corporate Reporting and Advanced Group Accounting, Clare worked in private wealth practice for 6 years at Saffery Champness before joining BPP in London. Clare is an ICAEW chartered accountant and joined us as a Tutor in 2016, covering a wide range of subjects at all levels, across all qualifications.

Ian started his working life as a teacher in an inner London school, before joining Grant Thornton to train as an accountant in their audit department. Over the next 10 years he progressed up to Associate Director level where he was responsible for signing off audits. As a tutor, he covers audit, financial reporting, case studies and various areas within management accounting. When he’s not teaching, Ian is kept busy with his three young children.

Sara joined us in 2015 with a mix of practice and industry experience, having gained her ICAEW chartered accountant certification with a small practice firm. Prior to starting her career in accountancy Sara had gained a first class honours degree in Psychology and worked as a qualified Probation Officer for several years. Sara is an experienced tutor with First Intuition, teaching a range of subjects across all of the qualifications, and specialising in management accounting.

Rebecca joined us in 2016 and initially worked within the office team, helping with exam bookings and invigilation. In 2017, she transitioned to working as part of the Apprenticeship team, as a Skills and Development Coach. Rebecca’s role is focused on ensuring our Apprentices are making good progress on their programmes and that they and their employers receive the support they need. Alongside this, Rebecca is also involved in business development and liaising with prospective clients. Her previous experience is varied and includes marketing and project management. Rebecca holds a BA (hons) in English Literature and Language.

Naomi has worked as a Team Leader and Support Coach in the investment sector, providing training, mentoring and feedback to her team members. At First Intuition, Naomi supports our apprentices and monitors their progress. She works with both our apprentices and their employers to review performance and is also involved with portfolio and skills days.

Shelly has over twenty years’ experience in the retail sector, covering both marketing and product development. She joined First Intuition in 2018, as a Marketing Executive bringing experience of delivering customer-focused, content marketing and branding campaigns. At First Intuition, Shelly looks after all aspects of marketing.

Liz joined us in 2014, having managed the administration team at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting (CIPFA’s) in-house tuition provider for 15 years. In her role as Customer Service Executive, Liz deals with all aspects of customer service, including course bookings, exam arrangements and student progress reporting.

Sophie joined us in early 2018 with 9 years of administration experience. She has completed her NVQ Business Admin level 2 and 3 and has previously held roles such as Office Manager, Project Coordinator and Project Administrator. At First Intuition, Sophie supports the customer service and administration team.

After joining us from Braintree Sixth Form college in 2017 as an Accounts Assistant, Danny has grown with the company and now heads up the Finance Department. He has also passed his AAT qualification and is now studying the professional level of ACCA. Danny prepares our quarterly and year-end reports and also helps by collating board packs, variance reports, budgets and forecasts for the year.

Alice joined FI Chelmsford as a Skills and Development Coach in 2019, having previously worked in the investment sector.  In this role, she spent time training and supporting the team and their apprentices.  During this time, Alice completed an apprenticeship in Financial Services.  She joined FI, as she wanted a role where she could make a difference and help young people to fulfil their potential.  In her role as a Skills Coach at FI Chelmsford, Alice works with our apprentices and their employers to review performance and is also involved with portfolio and skills days.

Lucy Joined FI Chelmsford as a Skills and Development Coach in April 2020, having previously worked as a Careers Advisor for local colleges and schools in Essex. She had also previously worked for an apprenticeship provider where she managed recruitment, sign ups and monitored their progress throughout. Lucy also holds a Level 7 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance. Since joining the team at FI, she has been working with our apprentices and employers to review their performance and also supports with portfolio and skills days.

Hannah joined FI as a Skills and Development Coach in June 2021, having previously worked as an Administrator for a nursery. In this role, she spent time communicating with clients, keeping records, managing occupancy and general support/client liaison during Covid.

Her background is mostly in childcare, having completed a degree at Worcester University in Early Childhood Studies, and then undertaking qualification for Early Years Teacher Status. She has spent nearly 10 years in childcare.

Hannah joined FI, as she wanted a change in career and an opportunity to continue to develop her skills by supporting young adults and helping them to reach their potential.

Aaron joined us in 2021 after completing his A-levels at Braintree Sixth Form. Aaron works in the finance department and helps to carry out bank reconciliations, produce invoices and approve bills. He is also currently studying an AAT Level 3 apprenticeship.

Paul joined First Intuition in 2021 to teach a range of courses across all qualifications, specialising in tax. Having spent over 18 years in practice where he was responsible for a large and wide ranging portfolio of audit clients, Paul spent the 2 years prior to joining us as the Finance Manager of a mid-tier construction company. Paul qualified with the ACCA in 2007, and when not teaching he is kept busy with his 2 young children.

Kelly Joined FI Chelmsford as a Skills and Development Coach in April 2021, having previously worked as a HR and Finance officer in Schools, where she managed HR of all staff, recruitment, and the day-to-day finance. She also previously worked for the Civil Service, where she managed a small team. Kelly joined FI, as she wanted to work directly with students to help them achieve their goals and their future careers. Since joining the team at FI, she has been working with our apprentices and employers to review their performance and supports with portfolio and skills days.

Karen joined us in 2021, as our AAT Curriculum Lead and Tutor, after working for 9 years as a Senior Tutor at another training provider. She also has experience of assessing AAT exams. Her previous roles have included credit control in industry, as well as working in finance roles within banks and mortgage brokers.

I Joined FI Chelmsford as a Skills and Development Coach in November 2021. Since 2010 when I graduated from The Winchester University I have worked in many managerial and development roles that have involved training and developing others. From large corporations such as Barclays Bank, TFL, and most recently, The Manchester Airport Group (London Stansted Airport). During my career journey, I have helped others grow, develop and go on to succeed. Since joining FI, I have been working with apprentices and employers to set goals, progress reviews and pass exams. It’s clear my passion to help others achieve and succeed still stays strong.

Amy Joined FI Chelmsford as a Skills and Development Coach in October 2021, having previously worked as a Manager in the retail sector. Amy was responsible for the training and development of all staff members ranging from sales assistants to more senior management roles. Amy joined FI as she wanted a change in career and an opportunity to continue to help students achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Since joining the team at FI, she has been working with our apprentices and employers to review their performance and also supports with portfolio and skills days.

Leah joined First Intuition in 2022 as Client Business Development Manager. Leah comes from a background of relationship management within the finance, recruitment, and construction sectors. Leah is responsible for delivering both Client and Candidate focused relationship building and business management processes. Leah is also a qualified Nutritional Advisor and a mum to two boys.

I began working for FI Chelmsford in September 2022. From the age of 16 I had balanced my studies with my career where I had worked my way up to a managerial position in the leisure sector. In 2021 I graduated from university with a degree in Psychology, Sport, health, and exercise science. Shortly after this I then qualified as a swimming, as well as beginning my own roller-skating club where I helped children and adults to develop through sport.

I felt I needed a career change and decided to join FI, as becoming a skills coach enables me to fulfil my passion of coaching. I enjoy being able to play a part in helping others to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.

Holly joined FI Chelmsford in September 2022 as a Skills and Development Coach after looking for a career change.

Prior to this Holly spent many years working within the recruitment and Finance sector with the most recent being within property as a Property Manager, managing a large portfolio of Students and their accommodation.

The career change has allowed her to still work closely with students with a rewarding outcome as helping others is her passion and since being a part of The FI Team Holly has been able to work alongside apprentices and their line managers to assist with reaching their goals and targets.

Amy joined First Intuition in 2023 as an Operations Administrator. She has a bachelor’s degree and has had previous roles based around education administration.

At First intuition, Amy provides support with course and exam bookings as well as answering general queries via email and telephone. She also organises apprenticeship paperwork as well as supporting employers recruit new apprentices.

David joined First Intuition in 2023 as an Operations Assistant. His main job roles at the centre include scheduling and running exam sessions, booking exams and courses and also ordering course materials.

Charlotte joined First Intuition in 2023 as a Marketing & Business Development Assistant. She works for both the Marketing and Business departments where her main roles include creating content for social media, liaising with schools and looking after CRM.
