Rick studied accountancy and finance in New York before relocating to Manchester and working for {my}Dentist, the UK’s largest corporate dental company in 2011 as a Finance Business Partner. Here, he developed and delivered a company-wide “Finance for Non-Finance Managers” training program to be used as part of operational inductions that is still used to this day. Rick joined iCount in 2016 where he has taught and published teaching material for ICAEW, ACCA and CIMA courses across all subjects. He is now part of the Management team of First Intuition Manchester, leading the teaching team and looking after the relationships with commercial clients. Rick is CIMA qualified and much prefers an English breakfast to the English weather.

Alice qualified with PWC before joining Kaplan in London as a tutor for many years. She moved back to Manchester in 2011 and joined FI as ICAEW Course Director and now looks after Professional Firms.

Harriet joined us back in 2014 as a Business Admin Apprentice and then later became Office Manager and subsequently Head of Operations. Since iCount merged with First Intuition, Harriet became Head of Client Services and is responsible for developing the business at First Intuition Liverpool as well as maintaining and supporting existing client relationships.

Julie joined First Intuition in March 2022 as customer services manager, bringing with her several years office management experience, having previously worked in the engineering and marketing industries.

Lauren studied her AAT as an apprentice whilst working in industry. She worked in an FE College for 10 years as a Curriculum Manager before joining iCount in February 2021. Lauren teaches AAT programmes for FI Liverpool.

Dan trained in a small firm of accountants, and completed his ACA with iCount. Later that year he joined as a tutor, and teaches accounting, financial reporting and audit.

Evie spent 7 years in practice working in both accounts and audit whilst completing her ACA with iCount. Soon after, she joined the First Intuition team as a tutor covering a variety of topics and levels.

Lauren joined FI in 2022 as an AAT tutor, after studying AAT with FI while working in industry. Lauren has experience in Management Accounting and Cash Management Solutions and has a Degree in Psychology.

Adam Mannix is an AAT tutor with a background in financial and management accounting. He has extensive experience working across the retail and manufacturing industries and now uses that knowledge to support learners in developing their professional skills.

Adam qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2017 and had 10 years of industry experience prior to joining First Intuition as a tutor. Adam enjoys teaching management accounting and tax.

Alice was an apprentice studying with First Intuition whilst working in practice as an auditor. She joined First Intuition as a tutor shortly after completing her ACA.

Gavin qualified within industry whilst working for MyDentist, a national dental chain. During his 8 years in this role, he gained valuable experience within Management Accountants and has currently been working as a Tutor for the last 4 years. Gavin teaches Financial Management, Performance Management and various other papers.

Olivia worked in practice as an auditor while studying ACCA. After qualifying, Olivia moved into the industry as a management accountant. Olivia joined FI as a tutor, covering a variety of courses and levels.

Paul started his professional career teaching English in Germany and Austria, having graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2009 with a degree in German. Following his return to the UK, Paul settled down working in industry for over 8 years for an international glass manufacturer, specialising in systems, compliance, risk, and reporting. During this time, Paul completed his ACA as a student with First Intuition.

Sam graduated from the University of Liverpool where she studied Accounting & Finance, before joining the tax department of an accounting firm as a graduate. During her 7 years in practice as a tax advisor, Sam qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. She later joined First Intuition as a tutor, teaching a variety of different subjects and courses.

Thasleemah (Tas) started her accounting journey at university and worked within the education industry thereafter. She joined FI in 2021 and currently teaches AAT.

Emma joined First Intuition in 2023 as an Operations and Administration Assistant.  She brings with her many years customer service experience from the financial training industry.

Ethan graduated from St George’s University London in 2023. He has recently joined First Intuition as a Customer Service Administrator. Having worked within the NHS for the past 3 years, he is looking forward to a new start within FI.

Imaani has over 5 years Customer Service experience within the Breakdown industry and is now looking forward to bringing her skills to FI. 

Sup graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011. Since then, he has worked in Customer Services at different organisations before bringing his experience to iCount, and now the First Intuition team.

Avgustina graduated from University of National and World Economy in 2020 Bulgaria, having studied Political science. Avgustina is bringing her experience as a Quality Grader and Returns co-ordinator to First Intuition Manchester.

Lizzie joined the First Intuition Client team in 2025 as an admissions assistant. With a proud and versatile background in education, administration, psychology and customer service, she is excited to apply these skills to her role at FI.

Liam Joined FI in October 2023. Prior to moving to Manchester he trained as a Chef. Since moving to Manchester in 2017, he has made a career dealing with business owners and decision makers. He’s bringing that knowledge to FI where he will be a Client Relationship Manager.

Selin joined First Intuition at the start of 2025 as a Client Services Assistant. She has previous experience in client services in a recruitment environment and has joined FI to use her friendly and confident personality to contribute to the team!

Kirsty has worked in the Finance industry, and as a Secondary School English Teacher. Kirsty joined FI in 2022 as a Skills and Development Coach.

Mike Joined First intuition in 2021 by way of iCount. Originally starting with Kaplan, Mike has worked in the financial training industry for over 8 years. Mike manages the Liverpool skills and development coach team. Using his industry experience he supports clients and apprentices throughout the course of their journey.

Beth joined FI in 2022 as a Skills and Development Coach. She is enthusiastic about supporting students to complete their apprenticeships. Beth graduated from MMU in 2019, and went on to work as a transition coordinator at a special educational needs college.

Caroline graduated from Huddersfield University in 2022 with a PGCE in Mentoring, Coaching and Professional Development. She has taught and supported students studying Further Education for the past 10 years. In this time, Caroline gained skills, experience, and knowledge that she has been able to transfer within her role as a Skills and Development Coach to support others to achieve their Professional Qualifications.

Danielle joined FI in January 2023 as a Skills and Development Coach after working in the Education sector for over 12 years – most recently tutoring Maths in a secondary school. Danielle enjoys bringing her skills from her career in Education to supporting students complete their apprenticeships.

With a background in teaching at further education colleges, Hayley is passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. In addition to teaching, she also spent six years living in Australia where she ran her own business. Hayley joined First Intuition in September 2023 and is excited to bring the skills she gained from her past experiences to her role as a Skills and Development Coach.

Kelsey qualified ACA after studying at the former FI Manchester; iCount. She spent 6 years in industry, then has worked as a tutor and skills coach since 2019.

Paul joined FI in January 2024. Starting life as an Actor and running his own Theatre Company, Paul turned to education, teaching SEND Primary children for the last 8 years. He is enthusiastic about supporting students to reach their full potential and is passionate about the apprenticeship journey. Paul looks to bring the skills gained from past experiences into his role as Skills and Development Coach.

Penny joined FI in August 2022 with a passion to support and coach apprentices, and helping to develop their skills and behaviours in the workplace. As a qualified Primary Teacher, Penny has spent 15 years in mainstream education before teaching in a specialist learning provision for students with ASD.

Rachel joined First Intuition a Skills and Development Coach in January 2024. She graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2014 and completed the Teach First Development Programme in 2016. Rachel has taught secondary English for 8 years, supporting students in their academic goals in the UK and Australia.  Rachel is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential and is excited to bring her skills and experience to her role at First Intuition.

I graduated from Lancaster University in 2018 with a degree in Geography and went on to study a PGCE in Secondary Education at Liverpool John Moore’s University. I then worked as a secondary school Geography teacher for 4 years before my most recent job where I worked at an End Point Assessment and Awarding Organisation. I also run my own small baking business in my spare time. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals and aspirations and have a desire to ensure students are ready to tackle and embrace new opportunities.

Vixen has come to First Intuition with a varied education background. She has experience in tutoring and mentoring in business skills, cash accounting and self-assessment tax returns, predominantly for those who work in the entertainment sector. She is also a qualified neonatal specialist sister with years of experience in the NHS supporting student nurses with their studies. She is also herself studying for her Masters’ Degree in Sexuality and Gender Studies, and is looking forward to PhD study in the future with a focus on equality and diversity in the workplace.

Kelsey worked in customer service for 8 years before taking a break to attend university. Upon leaving university she began a role at Kaplan working with some large clients and quickly progressed into a Service Account Manager role working with one of the industry’s biggest clients. She’s looking forward to bringing the knowledge and experience gained to her role as ACCA/CIMA Programme Lead.

Nabila possesses a dynamic and diverse background in Law and Education. Originally practising law in Argentina and pursuing a degree in education Nabila transitioned into International Education. Nabila’s career began as an education consultant and recruiter in Sydney, Australia, which then led towards a position in the public education sector in the United Kingdom. Nabila’s prior role at UCLAN, involved supervising an international admissions team, managing the admissions processes for two schools and a partnership, assisting hundreds of students worldwide with their applications. Nabila is deeply committed to fostering educational opportunities and contributing to the global landscape of higher education. Nabila joined First Intuition in May 2024.
