ICAEW’s Next Gen ACA: Transitional arrangements and exemption mapping

The ICAEW is introducing the Next Gen ACA syllabus in stages.  This will mean a student currently on programme should be able to complete on the existing syllabus. In this article, we share details of the last sitting for old syllabus exams, and when the first sittings of the new syllabus exams will be.

*If you started under the old syllabus (pre July 2025) and finish on new syllabus, the reduction in exams at Advanced Level will result in the ICAEW setting 15 units of SBM knowledge.  ICAEW will provide info to those students impacted.

FI recommendation is the students should continue to do what they had planned to do in 2026 and not delay in their progress.
