National Apprenticeships Week 2021 - Accountancy Apprenticeships

National Apprenticeship Week 2021

This year for National Apprenticeship Week we will be running a range of FREE virtual events aimed at helping you find out more about apprenticeships and how they can kick start your career in the finance world.

Within First Intuition, we pride ourselves on delivering the best accounting apprenticeship programmes we can. Working with hundreds of employers to support them in the introduction and delivery of our apprenticeship programmes. Along with supporting our apprentices to ensure they get the most from their apprenticeship and giving them the tools to build their future.

Tuesday 9th February: #AskAnEmployer Forum

To kick off our National Apprenticeship Week we are bringing together some of First Intuition’s clients from industry and practice. More particularly those who currently have apprentices studying with us. This Forum will help answer questions you might have regarding how employment works as an apprentice as well as what you can expect once you have enrolled. We understand approaching big employers can sometimes be daunting and that’s before you’ve even worked out who you want to contact. So join us on the 9th February at 4 PM where will have a host of employers including James Tucker from Scrutton Bland, Kim Hardman and Emma Wood from AstraZeneca and Jill Wright and Amy Carter from Kirk Newsholme! They will be ready to answer your questions and help build your future.

Wednesday 10th February: #AskAnApprentice Instagram Takeover

Ever wondered what a day in the life of an apprentice is really like? Now is your chance! Join our finance apprentices Katie Scott and Danny Sutton as they take over our Instagram stories for a day. They will be walking you through their normal working day as an apprentice. Katie and Danny will also be taking questions throughout the day!

Wednesday 10th February: #AskAnApprentice Lunchtime Forum

Sometimes there are questions that only apprentices can answer, and this is your chance to ask them!

For our penultimate event, you will have the chance to ask questions to a panel of apprentices currently studying at First Intuition. Whether it’s technical questions regarding the qualification, how they find juggling work duties and apprenticeship tasks, or where to begin with applying for a role, the apprentices will be on hand to help. This one-hour forum will be taking place at 12 PM and will also be broadcasted to our Facebook Pages.

Thursday 11th February: Why Start an Apprenticeship Programme?

FI Client and Service Director, Hazel Rogers, spent some time with Claire Davis, Director of Learning and Development for Professional Services at Smith & Williamson, to learn more about her experiences of apprenticeship programmes and to hear her top tips for employers who are thinking of taking on an apprentice.
