Many of us are likely to continue working in a remote environment for longer than first expected and keeping up our focus and productivity becomes more of a challenge the longer this situation goes on.

 

Our series of free one-hour Mini Skill sessions will cover the essential skills to help you think in a more focused and effective way and to ensure that personal productivity and satisfaction are enhanced.

These Mini Skill Sessions consist of six short interactive and information-packed sessions running every Thursday lunchtime from 2 July until 6 August 2020.  They are free of charge, open to anyone and you can attend as many or as few of them as you want.

To be an effective team member, or to become an effective manager, you need a set of business tools proven to increase individual and team productivity.  With the development of these skills it will increase your job satisfaction, and also make it easier for you to build towards your long-term career goals.

Working Remotely – 02/07/2020 – 12.30-13.30

This session considers some of the benefits of working remotely and gives practical and simple tips for working from home in the real world. We will cover core activities such as telephone techniques, online meetings, and ideas for sensible healthy remote working. The session concludes with an overview of some core challenges when working from home and how to overcome these.

Time Management – 09/07/2020 – 12.30-13.30

This session focuses on good time management, the benefits, and practical approaches to prioritising workloads. We review the 8 time robbers, anti-procrastination strategies and the ‘4 D’s of Time Management’.

Confidence & Enthusiasm – 16/07/2020 – 12.30-13.30

This session discusses the importance of confidence & enthusiasm and the benefits to both the individual and organisation of increasing them. We will cover some  practical and relevant tips for individuals to improve their confidence and enthusiasm.

Perseverance and Motivation – 23/07/2020 – 12.30-13.30

This session focuses on two significant factors optimising individual performance, perseverance, and motivation. Loss of either is often one of the easiest negative cycles to enter. Within the session we look at pragmatic approaches to improve personal motivation and develop greater perseverance skills.

Planning and Prioritisation – 30/07/2020 – 12.30-13.30

This session concentrates on simple project management techniques that are transferable into individuals’ personal daily routines to improve planning and prioritising.

Proactivity – 06/08/2020 – 12.30-13.30

This session considers proactive strategies individuals can use to increase levels of proactivity from themselves and within their team. During the session we review some of the benefits that proactivity can have within the workplace and discuss further techniques to improve engagement and contribution.
