Join us for three FREE business writing sessions in April and May. Each session is stand-alone so you can join just one session or sign up for all three. Please remember to register for the sessions you would like to attend to receive the link to the session and the workbook.
Writing a professional email- 20th April at 5pm
Do you find that your emails do not always get the response you would like? Do you think you could get a better response with a different approach?
During this session, you will consider how best to structure an email to get the best results. We will look at the layout, language and terminology needed to create a professional email. You will also learn how to make your purpose clear in emails. We will also discuss who needs to see which emails and GDPR awareness.
Communicating succinctly- 4th May at 5pm
Research suggests that long documents and emails are unlikely to be opened and/or read by the recipient. Being able to summarise without losing clarity, or content is a vital skill in business.
This business writing session will look at achieving the balance between clarity and the length of text within written communication. We will also cover how to summarise effectively.
Writing to help with exam technique- 30th May at 12:30pm
In this session, we will explore more advanced written communication. This will include responding to difficult messages and structuring a report. As well as being useful in the office, these skills will help to prepare you for professional exams.
