
The CIMA Chartered Management Accounting Qualification is ideal for those seeking a career in finance or management within a company or business environment. Anyone can study for the CIMA qualification and if you have previously studied a relevant subject at degree level you may be eligible for exemptions from some subjects. There are no minimum entry requirements, but school leavers or those without a relevant degree will have to start with the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting.
The CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting is a qualification in its own right and comprises of 5 subjects in accountancy and business. Students wishing to progress to the Chartered qualification must complete the Certificate qualification as follows:
CIMA has introduced a new certificate level syllabus, examinable from October 2011. However, students will be able to sit the current exams until June 2012. You can find out more at the CIMA website.
