ACCA Professional Qualification

The ACCA professional qualification is ideal for those seeking a career in accountancy, either in business or practice. Anyone can study for the ACCA qualification and if you have previously studied a relevant subject at degree level you may be eligible for exemptions from some subjects. You can check your exemption status with ACCA online.

You do not need to have a training contract with an accountancy firm to undertake the qualification but you do need to gain relevant practical experience before you become fully qualified.

School leavers wishing to undertake the ACCA qualification must have a minimum of two A-levels and three GCSEs (including English and Mathematics) or equivalent.

ACCA Foundations in Accountancy - Important changes affecting computer based exams

ACCA has introduced this new qualification aimed at school leavers or those who do not meet the minimum entry criteria above. You can find out more at the ACCA website.

As a result there are some changes to the ACCA Knowledge module (Papers F1, F2 and F3 of the Professional Qualification), with some significant changes to the syllabus and a new style computer based examination being introduced from 8 December 2011.
