AAT Accounting Qualification
The AAT Accounting Qualification is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience. There are no academic requirements so the AAT qualification is a real alternative to college or University for those seeking a career in finance.
There are three levels, each of which is a qualification in its own right.
- Level 2 Certificate in Accounting (equivalent to GCSE)
- Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (equivalent to A Level)
- Level 4 Diploma in Accounting (equivalent to first year of a degree)
Each level comprises a number of papers which are examined by computer based test or project. To become fully AAT qualified you must complete Level 4. Most students complete the qualification in 2-3 years, but some students may take less than 1 year - it really depends on how you study and how quickly you wish to progress through the exams. One of our home study students completed all seven Level 3 exams in just 19 days!
