Gareth John, Chief Executive
Gareth is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has been involved in professional accountancy training for nearly 20 years. He has spent the last decade setting up and running accountancy colleges and has enjoyed helping thousands of students start their careers in finance. Gareth has taught many prizewinners and was awarded UK Accountancy Lecturer of the Year in 2011.
Stuart Brown, Managing Director
Stuart qualified with a local practice firm before he started teaching accountancy students over a decade ago and has twice been nominated as Lecturer of the year. He set up First Intuition in Cambridge in 2009. Stuart teaches Financial Reporting, Auditing, Risk Management and Law.
Nick Craggs, AAT Distance Learning Course Manager
Nick worked in practice for a number of years gaining a wide breadth of experience, from preparing accounts of small sole traders to auditing multimillion pound businesses. He specialises in teaching the AAT.
Crystal Haygreen, Director of AAT Studies
Crystal has experience working in both practice and industry prior to starting teaching over 10 years ago. Crystal teaches Management Accounting, Strategy and Financial Accounting as well looking after our AAT students.
David Hartley, Tutor
David joined First Intuition in March 2015 and supports AAT students through distance learning. David is a Qualified Accountant with 35 years experience in industry, 30 years within an accounting environment. David has also carried out consultancy work on behalf of the AAT, for over 17 years including Verifying Colleges (external Verifier) both nationally and internationally, as well as being involved in a number of review groups.
Alison joined First Intuition in August 2016 and supports AAT students through distance learning. Alison is AAT qualified and has specialised in teaching the AAT qualification at all levels for over ten years. Alison has over 20 years’ experience of working within public and private finance and accountancy. Alison is a qualified External Verifier on behalf of the AAT.
Anne is ACCA and AAT qualified and began her career in training in 2000 after qualifying with a local firm. She joined First Intuition in August 2010 and teaches all levels of the AAT.
Ben worked in practice at Price Bailey LLP before joining First Intuition Cambridge in January 2013. He has several years’ experience in practice and he teaches Financial Accounting , Financial Reporting, Auditing and Law.
Ali Ryder, Tutor
Ali joined First Intuition in January 2014. She trained with a local firm, gaining experience in accounting, audit and tax, before moving to a top 10 audit firm once qualified. Ali is ACCA and AAT qualified and was the global prize winner in the ACCA F7 Financial Reporting paper with a score of 94%. Ali enjoys teaching accounting, audit, tax and law.
Helen Lovett, Customer Service Director
Helen helped set up the Cambridge branch of First Intuition after joining from BPP in 2008. Helen has many years experience working in customer service within professional training.
Lizzy O’Hara, Customer Service Executive
Lizzy joined First Intuition in March 2014 after studying and then working at the University of Cambridge. She deals with all aspects of customer service and administration.
Chelsey Madgwick, Customer Service Executive
Chelsey joined First Intuition in August 2012. Chelsey is part of our customer service team and also helps assist the Finance Manager with the accounts. Chelsey is currently studying towards her AAT qualification.
Amy Jordan, Marketing and Customer Service
Amy joined First Intuition in 2009 after
working in practice at RSM Robson Rhodes. Amy looks after marketing for First Intuition as well as assisting with
